I utilized a CAD program called SketchUp to design a unique bookshelf. With an aim to design height and shape-adjustable bookshelf, I divided the model into two main structures. The left shelf has triangular horizontal layers that help users easily adjust the height of the shelf. Since the user's age could vary from young children to adults, I wanted every user to adjust the height of the bookshelf based on their height. The right shelf composes of eight plastic boxes that users can freely move around. They can put books and other utensils in the boxes. The design was inspired by a snowflake. Together, this bookshelf is not only aesthetic but also has an effective height-adjustable technology.
